Sunday roasts at The Duke

We're going to shamelessly do a little Sunday roast boast here! We have been serving them for 3 weeks now and the feedback has been great, which we're super chuffed about.


"You won't find a better roast in Ipswich," and, "We had stopped going out for Sunday lunch as always disappointing. Delicious beef, roasties and lashings of gravy. Very generous portions. Staff friendly and cheerful and a great relaxed atmosphere," are just two examples of what people have fed back to us.


We love preparing a smashing roast. Our meat is cooked fresh on the day in our smoker, giving it a hint of smoky loveliness on the outside and keeping it succulent and juicy on the inside. We always do beef and we always serve it pink. We then rotate our second meat option between pork, turkey and chicken. We also prepare a veggie option if required, we just ask that you book this in advance of the day to save any waste.


All our trimmings are also homemade - Yorkshire puds, crunchy roasties, cauliflower cheese, stuffing and of course some freshly cooked veg. And then, as the review above notes, lashings of gravy! (This is starting to sound like an Enid Blyton novel!!)


We are working on getting live music to chill to after your roast each week, to add to our monthly Sunday Jazz sessions with John Parker.
